"Daddio-Praport at PAC, then just 2 at C.G., Delgado's WD!":
There were two sessions of GTA Saturday Tennis: an early morning session at The Park Ave. Courts in Nutley as "Daddy O" Paul Daddio and "The Speed Demon" Dan Praport got together for their Grove Cup XX Round of 16 Match (as reported by Paul); and then a small night session at The Cedar Grove Courts featuring a couple of Singles One-Setters between Daddio and Dennis "The Menace" Cabanatan (also reported by Paul). They had to be One-Setters as Daddio remained in the active draw of the ongoing Grove Cup Tournament.
Time to get the results from Paul!
The Park Ave. Result:
Grove Cup XX Round of 16 Match:
Paul Daddio over Dan Praport, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, to successfully defend his # 7 Rank in the Advanced Division while also advancing to the Quarterfinals of the 20th Annual Grove Cup Tournament! No Aces.
The Deal from Daddy O: It was a very close match. Dan covers the entire court and gets to pretty much every ball. He adjusted and I had no answer for it in the 2nd Set. The 3rd Set was on serve until I started taking the net and then took the last three games. This match took well over 2 hours.
The Consequences: Daddio advances to face "Super Mario" Marijus Kuzavas in the Quarters.
The Cedar Grove Results:

Samara's Notes: I thank Paul for his very timely reporting and also congratulate him on the impressive winning streak.
We now must address the other Grove Cup XX Round of 16 Match that had been lingering for a while…and that is the one between "The Sultan of Swing" Raj Shah and "Lean Daddy" Dean Delgado.
After a couple agreed upon times having to get rescheduled, it seemed it would finally be played this Saturday as well. But Dean must not have realized how busy he would be this weekend with his daughter's baptism as there were many errands he had to run prior to the event.
As such, he decided to withdraw from the match and allow Raj a bye into the next round, the Quarterfinals. In the Quarters, Shah will face "The AM Rush" Anish Mehta.
