9/11/17:

"18 play (1 new) at C.G.!":

There was just one session of GTA Monday Night Tennis at The Cedar Grove Courts, but it featured multiple "hosts" (i.e. results reporters) as scores and details were sent in from GTA Women's Champion: Laura "The Aura" Gawley, "Dominant" Dawn Peterson, "Killer Kat" Kathy Sheldon, "Spin Doctor" Dan Martinelli and "King Crush" Chris Chiaro.

The Cedar Grove Results:

Dennis Cabanatan/Laura Gawley over Kevin Doyle/Justin Berardo, 6-2!  No Aces.

2 out of 3 Sets Mixed Doubles Match:

Justin Berardo/Laura Gawley over Dennis Cabanatan/Dawn Peterson, 6-0, 6-3, as both teams entered the Mixed Doubles Division as the New # 51 and # 52 Ranked Teams respectively!  No Aces.

2 out of 3 Sets Women's Doubles Match:

Brenda Jordan/Dawn Peterson over Kathy Sheldon/Diane Raum, 6-3, 6-4, to successfully defend the # 4 Rank in the Women's Doubles Division!  In the process, Sheldon/Raum entered the Women's Doubles Division as the New # 7 Ranked Team.  It was the official GTA Debut of Diane Raum.  No Aces.

The Kat's Meow: Diane is her friend from Cedar Grove.

2 out of 3 Sets Doubles Match:

Nathan Fernandes/Tom La over Dan Martinelli/Frank Hohorst, 6-2, 6-4, to successfully defend their # 21 Rank in the Doubles Division!  In the process, Martinelli/Hohorst entered the Doubles Division as the New # 96 Ranked Team.  No Aces.

The Spin from Spin: They worked us over in the 1st Set, but the 2nd Set was way more competitive as at 4-4 they took the last two games to win the set and match.

Chris Chiaro/Jordan Bachvaroff over Joe Rodrigues/Rob Gawley, 6-2!  Jordan: 1 Ace. 

Chris Chiaro/Jordan Bachvaroff over Joe Rodrigues/Rob Gawley, 6-0!  Chris: 2 Aces!

Chris Chiaro/Rob Gawley leading Jordan Bachvaroff/Dennis Cabanatan, 5-3 (Incomplete…and the last game was at 40-15 when the lights went off at 10pm)!  Chris: 2 Aces!
