"Just 4 play at C.G. as Kris hosts!":
GTA Saturday Night Tennis at The Cedar Grove Courts turned out to be a disappointment as Mother Nature decided to rudely cut the session short. We now turn this report over to Cedar Grove's "host with the most": "The K Man" Kris Srinivasan.
The vagaries of the weather conditions coupled with other activities had a significant impact on the possibility of playing tennis. Upon short notice, we did decide to play at 6pm.
The Cedar Grove Result:
Kris Srinivasan/Sairaj Srinivasan leading Mike Kazlauskas/Doinks Srinivasan, 5-3 (Incomplete when the rain came)! Sairaj: 1 Ace on Doinks!
After a slow start, we were in control but for the last point that could have sealed the match! Serving at 40-15 (Double Game/Match Point) when we were leading 5-3, Sairaj chose to play Doinks' return that was going out and dumped it into the net! The slight drizzle at the beginning of the game turned into a big shower, curtailing the match and the possibility of any further play. Doinks and Kaz were granted a reprieve thanks to the rains...:-).
One of the shortest tennis days, for sure, but we did play for 40 minutes.
