"Just the W2 Semi at C.G.!":
As the heat-wave conditions continued and many of our players were again attending the US Open in the evening hours, the turnout remained very light for GTA Wednesday Night Tennis. Laura "The Aura" Gawley reported the result of the last of the two W2 Women's Doubles Tournament Semifinal Matches. We turn this report over to her now.
The Cedar Grove Result:
W2 Semifinal Match:
Natalia Sout/Laura Gawley over Janice Wang/Fernanda Toker, 7-6 (7-5), 6-1, to become the New # 5 Ranked Team in the Women's Doubles Division while advancing to the Finals of the W2 Women's Doubles Tournament! No Aces.
The Lowdown from Laura: The match lasted from 7:20 to 9:20 (two hours)! We had a lot of long rallies. Janice and Fernanda were very consistent from the start! I think we got more consistent in the 2nd Set. We were up 5-0 when they were able to break me!

The Consequences: And now Natalia and Laura advance to the Finals where they will face the tough tandem of "The Marathon Woman" Doinks Srinivasan and "The S Bomber" Genalin Capan. It should be quite a match!
