9/28 Results.

9/28/17:

"Gen hosts 2 at AP, Nick/Spin host 8 at C.G.!":

There were two sessions of GTA Thursday Night Tennis: an early evening one at The Albion Park Courts in Clifton hosted by "The S Bomber" Genalin Capan as she first had a hitting session and then a Singles One-Setter with "Del Brotro" Mike Mole; and then the usual evening one at The Cedar Grove Courts where "The Icon" Nick Inciong and "Spin Doctor" Dan Martinelli acted as the impromptu hosts and promptly sent in their results.

Let's first go to Clifton!

The Albion Park Result:

Mike Mole over Genalin Capan, 6-2!  Mike: 1 Ace on the very first serve!

Gen's Notes: We hit for about an hour.  The One-Setter lasted from 5:40 to 6:10.  We both held and that was followed by an exchange of breaks for 2-2.  Then, Mike took the next four games for the win.  Actually, Mike wanted a chance to serve again...so the unofficial result would be 7-2!

Samara's Notes: I thank Gen for sending in that result along with her commentary in a very timely manner.   

We now go to Cedar Grove for the rest of the scores.

The Cedar Grove Results:

Nick Inciong/Fadia Nicolas over Tito Castolo/Louise Bysiek, 6-4!  No Aces.

Kris Srinivasan/Dan Martinelli over Nathan Fernandes/Mike Sindler, 6-4!  No Aces.

Kris Srinivasan/Dan Martinelli over Nathan Fernandes/Mike Sindler, 6-1!  No Aces.

Kris Srinivasan/Dan Martinelli tied with Nathan Fernandes/Mike Sindler, 5-5 (Incomplete when the lights went out at 10pm)!  No Aces.

The Spin from Spin: These were all played as separate One-Setters.

Samara's Notes: I thank both Nick and Spin for stepping up to take responsibility for their results and then send them in…in a most timely fashion.  And I guess the windy conditions blew away many other would-be competitors as the turnout was surprisingly light for a Thursday night in Cedar Grove.
