9/21 Results.

9/21/16:         

"5 play at L.F., 7 play at C.G.!":                                          

There was two sessions of GTA Wednesday Night Tennis as the usual evening session at The Cedar Grove Courts had to wait a while as first the new Little Falls League had the courts only to then get bumped by The Verona Crew who took three of the four.

So five of our ladies went to The Paterson Ave. Courts in Little Falls before some of them returned to Cedar Grove once more courts had become available.

With "The K Man" Kris Srinivasan and family having taken the night off from hosting, scores and details came in from "Bravo" Brenda Jordan (who mistakenly sent them to the entire league already), "C.A.T." Christine Toth (who reported an additional result that Brenda had missed since she left Little Falls earlier than the rest) and "Coach" Dino Celis.

So the following report is a combination of information from Brenda, Christine and Dino.  We first go to Brenda.

When Dawn and I arrived at Cedar Grove, the new Little Falls League was using two of the courts.  15 minutes later, the woman from the Verona League let everyone know they had 3 of the 4 courts reserved from 6:30 to 8pm.

Dawn, Christine Toth and I went over to the Little Falls courts on Paterson Ave.  We told Kathy and Sally (who we knew would be coming) the situation and they met us there.

There are lights at the Little Falls courts, but they aren't very good.  I wouldn't recommend playing there after dark.

Samara's Notes: Both Dino and Anish Mehta have said the same.  We now go back to Brenda.

Kathy Sheldon/Dawn Peterson over Brenda Jordan/Christine Toth, 6-3!  No Aces (apparently).

And now the next score comes from Christine.

Sally Pillay/Christine Toth over Kathy Sheldon/Dawn Peterson, 6-4!  No Aces (apparently).

Brenda then went back to play at Cedar Grove.  At that point, others from the GTA were already in action.  Dino sent scores via text and made some corrections to the results reported by Brenda as well.

The Cedar Grove Results:

Ryan Pienciak over Dino Celis, 7-6 (7-4)!  No Aces.

Dino Celis/Ryan Pienciak over Rob Ryan/Brenda Jordan, 6-3!  No Aces.

2 out of 3 Sets Mixed Doubles Match:

Rob Ryan/Brenda Jordan over Rob Gawley/Sally Pillay, 6-3, 6-4, as both teams entered the Mixed Doubles Division as the New # 31 and # 32 Ranked Teams accordingly!  No Aces (apparently).
