"M-Dub Final part of 17 at C.G.!":
There was just one session of GTA Tuesday Night Tennis and it was at The Cedar Grove Courts as "The K Man" Kris Srinivasan hosted along with his wife "The Marathon Woman" Doinks Srinivasan who also was teaming with "The Hit Man" Tom La to take on "Richie" Rich Liu and "Killer Kat" Kathy Sheldon in the conclusion of the M-Dub Mixed Doubles Tournament Final which had been started this past Sunday. GTA Champion: "Nate the Great" Nathan Fernandes and Natalia "Nitro" Sout also submitted results.
So we first get the Main Event result from Doinks, then we will go to Kris and Nate before going back to Doinks for a couple more scores.
The Cedar Grove Results:
M-Dub Final Match:
Rich Liu/Kathy Sheldon over Tom La/Doinks Srinivasan, 6-4, 6-2, to become the 2017 M-Dub Champs, the New # 2 Ranked Team in the Mixed Doubles Division and the next Top Contenders! In the process, La/Srinivasan entered the division as the New # 51 Ranked Team. No Aces.
The Details from Doinks: Kathy was the MVP as she was playing very consistently.
The Consequences: Liu/Sheldon is now the team to get the next shot at the reigning GTA Mixed Doubles Champions: Marijus Kuzavas/Sally Pillay.
Samara's Notes: First, I want to thank Doinks for submitting this result in such a timely manner (Kris sent it in as well). The match had been stopped on Sunday with Rich and Kathy leading in the 1st Set, 4-3, when Tom sustained a calf cramp injury. I again thank Rich and Kathy for agreeing to play the match to its full and proper conclusion. Now that they have won it, I am sure they find it to be much more satisfying this way…and I congratulate them on an impressive victory.
We will get a couple more scores from Doinks later in this report, but now let's go to Kris.
