"Daddio-Bachvaroff in Caldwell!":
There was just a small window of opportunity for some GTA Saturday Tennis in the early afternoon hours and, thankfully, "Daddy O" Paul Daddio and "The Bulgarian Bull" Jordan Bachvaroff were able to take advantage of it and play their "Grove Cup 21" Quarterfinal Match in Grover Cleveland Park in Caldwell. I thank Paul for reporting the following result.
The Grover Cleveland Park Courts Result:
"Grove Cup 21" Quarterfinal Match:
Paul Daddio over Jordan Bachvaroff, 6-1, 6-3, to successfully defend his # 3 Rank in the Advanced Division while advancing to the Semifinals of the 21st Annual Grove Cup Men's Singles Tournament! No Aces.
The Dilly-O from Daddy O: We played at Grover Cleveland Park from 1 to 3pm. The conditions were sunny, hot and hotter! Jordan really stepped up his game and consistency in the 2nd Set as he pushed me in many long points. It was a fun match as both of us got a great workout.
Samara's Notes: I thank Paul for his timely and detailed reporting. I also congratulate him on a very impressive victory. He is now the second player into the Semis with just two Quarterfinal Matches remaining. I also offer kudos to Jordan for a fine run thru this tourney.
