8/16 Results.

8/16/18:

"14 play at C.G.!":

There was only one session of GTA Thursday Night Tennis and it was the usual one in the evening at The Cedar Grove Courts.  Perhaps I should not use the word "usual" as it seems those there felt it was so underwhelming, it was not even worth reporting the results from it.  "The Marathon Woman" Doinks Srinivasan was the only one to initially report a result and then she tipped me off as to who else I should chase down to get the rest.  It seems it was a lackluster session at best.  The other eventual contributors to this report were "J-Rod" Joe Rodrigues, "The Riz" John Rizzo, "The Accelerator" Abhilash Gadi and Natalia "Nitro" Sout.  I do sincerely thank them for finally putting all the missing pieces into the puzzle.

The Cedar Grove Results:

Joe Rodrigues/Tito Castolo over Jordan Bachvaroff/Mike Mole, 7-5!  No Aces.

The Gist from Joe: Jordan and Mike were leading 5-2 when Tito and I stormed back based on some great net play by Tito!

Mike Mole/Janice Wang over Joe Rodrigues/Rose Inciong, 6-3!  No Aces.

 

Mike Mole/Janice Wang over Joe Rodrigues/Rose Inciong, 6-1!  No Aces.

Nathan Fernandes/Natalia Sout over Mike Mole/Janice Wang, 6-3!  No Aces.

Abhilash Gadi/Arthur Fontanilla over John Rizzo/Nick Inciong, 6-4!  No Aces. 

The Accelerated Report: It was really humid, so we played only one set.  After that, Arthur and I hit around for about 30 mins.

And we now let the one who got the ball rolling, Doinks, finish this report.

Tom La and I were the last ones to arrive at Cedar Grove and three of the four courts already had Doubles in progress.  We started hitting for about 30 minutes and then he suggested that we play a One-Setter.

Tom La over Doinks Srinivasan, 6-2!  No Aces.

Samara's Notes: Thanks to Doinks for her timely and detailed reporting.  If it wasn't for her, I would have likely assumed nothing had ever taken place at Cedar Grove this Thursday night.
