"Mole-Truong part of 8 at C.G.!:"
There was just one session of GTA Saturday Night Tennis: the usual later session up at The Cedar Grove Courts. But this time around the usual host, The K Man" Kris Srinivasan, was not there. Instead, there was a 2 out of 3 Sets Challenge Match between "Holy Moly" Mike Mole and "A-Tru" Andrew Truong (which Mike reported directly) along with a pair of Doubles One-Setters (the results of which came via "Mr. 500" Levy Lorenzo) and a Singles One-Setter (as reported by "Big Kaz" Mike Kazlauskas).
Let's now go to the results as reported by Mike M., Levy and Mike K. in that order.
The Cedar Grove Results:
2 out of 3 Sets Challenge Match:
Andrew Truong over Mike Mole, 6-2, 6-2, to become both the New # 24 Ranked Player in the Advanced Division and the New # 7 Ranked Player in the Intermediate Division! Mike: 3 Aces!
Levy Lorenzo/Herb Reiner over Andrew Truong/Natalia Sout, 6-2! No Aces. It was the official GTA Return of Herb Reiner.
Jose Gonzales/Levy Lorenzo over Andrew Truong/Natalia Sout, 6-3! No Aces.
Jordan Bachvaroff over Mike Kazlauskas, 7-5! Mike: 1 Ace.
Big Kaz says: Jordan's consistent play was the deciding factor. I had a couple of chances, but could not convert. Jordan was serving for the set leading 5-3, but I was able to break him and then hold my serve to make it 5-5. Jordan then held his serve for 6-5 and I was broken again to take the loss.
