7/1/17:
"Mole-Rizzo 1-Setter at NTC!":
GTA Saturday Tennis only took place at The Nutley Tennis Club in the late afternoon/early evening hours as there was a Singles One-Setter between "The Riz" John Rizzo and "Magic" Mike Mole (with John reporting) and then a hitting session between Mole and "The Assassin" Alfred Chen as Rizzo was trying to find a fourth player to enable some Doubles action.
Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans as she soon let loose with a downpour to not only cut the NTC session short…but also to end the chance of any GTA Tennis session anywhere else for the balance of the night!
We will now get the NTC result from John.
The NTC Result:
Mike Mole over John Rizzo, 7-6 (7-2)! No Aces.
The Riz Report: Along the way, I had three Match Points…but Mike saved them all and was able to comeback for the win!
Samara's Notes: I thank John for his very timely reporting of that score. This one may have an outside shot at being a Nominee for One-Set Singles Match of The Year at season's end.
