"John/Kevin host 8 (1 New) at The Bubble!":
GTA Wednesday Night Tennis took place at The Wayne Bubble (the usual Night Owl session) after a week of it being down as a result of last week's blizzard. The usual hosts, "The Riz" John Rizzo and "Kevlar" Kevin Doyle, sent in the following results.
The Wayne Bubble Results:
John Rizzo/Fernanda Toker over Jose Gonzales/Brenda Jordan, 6-2! John: 2 Aces on Brenda; and Jose: 1 Ace on Fernanda!
John Rizzo/Fernanda Toker over Jose Gonzales/Brenda Jordan, 6-4! John: 1 Ace on Brenda; and Jose: 1 Ace on Fernanda!
Kevin Doyle/Robin Wilson over Al Bracco/Jeanette Pegg, 6-3! No Aces. It was the official GTA Debut of Al Bracco.
The Kevlar Commentary: We only played the one set as Jeanette and Al had to leave. We played from 9:15 to about 10:20. We just hit after that until about 11pm. Robin Wilson's game continues to improve at a rapid pace. In addition to being very fast and covering the court well, her ground-strokes are getting harder and her net play is getting much more consistent.
